United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women meet monthly on the second Thursday of each month. There are two circles--the Esther circle meets at the church at 10 a.m. and the Hannah Circle meets at 7 p.m. and varies as to its meeting place either at the church or at the home of that month's hostess.
General meetings, which bring the two circles together, are held on the first Thursday of every other month beginning in February.
United Methodist Women conduct several major fund-raising events during the year--a Mother's Day Banquet, a salad luncheon, a roast beef dinner in September and a holiday bazaar and chicken noodle dinner in October. These hard-working women use the money raised to support many mission activities that range from local to international. In December they also conduct a Christmas gift drive for Cunningham Childrens' Home.
They are always quick to respond when a need arises within the church family as well, and have been known to assemble a delicious dinner to serve a large number of people following a funeral on very short notice.
